FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE THE WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE?
Each weekend at Sumiton you'll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message.  Children are well-cared for in a loving nursery and fun-filled kids service.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
We know that many people want to check out the church and "be anonymous" for a while—and that's fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you. At the end of service, we do like to give first time guests the option of visiting our guest central for information and a free gift!

WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND SERVICES?
You will find everything from casual clothes to business attire at the Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Sumiton does not care what you look like or what you wear.

DO YOU HAVE A MIDWEEK SERVICE?
On Wednesdays, we offer midweek services for children, young adults, and adults beginning at 6:30 p.m in main building. Youth services are at 6:30 p.m in the Family Life Center.

WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
Our secure, safe check-in gives each parent peace of mind that your child’s protection is our priority. Our nurseries are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children's ministry called SUMITON KIDZ as well as life-changing ministry to junior high & high school students.

HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
We offer Growth Track and Small Groups as a way to get involved at Sumiton. In each of these you can build friendships and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. You can also connect by serving on one of our Impact Teams.

WHY DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS?
Small Groups are an important part of Sumiton. In fact, you haven't fully experienced the church until you've experienced Small Groups. Groups allow you to meet new people and develop friendships that will grow your relationship with God. As Sumiton expands, Small Groups allow us to "stay small and grow big". Groups are available for all ages and interests!

HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED IN A SMALL GROUP?
One of the easiest things to do at Sumiton is participate in a Small Group. Groups meet in multiple locations and provide a place for Bible study, fellowship, and support. Visit the Small Group Page, click on your location and find a group that is right for you!
